Hiring during Pandemic is a Gutsy Move

When a majority of businesses have either stalled their hiring processes or sending employees on furlough, it’s commendable of the LMS company to hire a CMO to regroup its marketing and sales teams globally.

Udacity, a competitor to established LMS platforms like Coursera and Udemy, has been offering a battery of new courses to learners and tutors across the globe. During the pandemic, the LMS leader added new courses and Nanodegree programs to its existing libraries in subjects related to AI Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Digital Marketing, Autonomous Vehicle information, Business Management and so on.

Recently, Udacity launched the AI for Healthcare Nanodegree program, in conjunction with experts from Microsoft Research, Genentech, and more.

While at Google, Kim oversaw performance marketing and advertising for Google Shopping. Previously, he led the marketing teams for both NatureBox and SquareTrade. Kim also held leadership roles at other high-growth startups, such as Trulia and Hotwire, as well as more established brands like American Express and Ticketmaster.
