Arun Anantharaman from Adobe Systems is New Marketo Chief Product Officer

MarTech RADAR 150 company, Marketo, has announced that it has appointed Arun Anantharaman from Adobe Systems as its new Chief Product Officer. The leading provider of engagement marketing software and solution also announced that Manoj Goyal, who joined Marketo in May 2017as CPO, will now take on the role of Chief Technology Officer.

The latest leadership news comes barely months after the MarTech RADAR 150 company announced Jill Rowley as their Chief Growth Officer.

As Marketo Chief Product Officer, Arun Anantharaman said, “I am thrilled to join Marketo, honored to lead such a talented and passionate group of people, and look forward to becoming part of the Marketing Nation.”

The bold move to hire a new Marketo Chief Product Officer highlights the expansion of their senior leadership team, by adding a key executive with more than 30 years of experience in the technology industry. 

At the time of this announcement, said Marketo Chief Executive Officer Steve Lucas, said, “Marketo has a singular focus: to empower a nation of brilliant marketers. Our continued investment in engineering and product capability, quality, and talent is a testament to our commitment to innovate for our customers like never before.”

Steve added, “Arun has a customer-obsessed mindset, which is one of our core values. That, combined with his decades of experience in building high-scale enterprise marketing solutions, will drive profound benefit for our customers. Arun’s vision for the future of MarTech will further establish Marketo as the de facto platform for marketers.”

Arun Anantharaman Has Been with Adobe Since 2001

Arun Anantharaman brings a range of marketing technology experience to Marketo, including his past 17 years at Adobe, where he served most recently as the Senior Vice President, Products and Operations, for Experience Cloud.

Arun earned a Master’s Degree in business administration from San Jose State University, a master’s of science in computer engineering from North Carolina State University, and a bachelor’s of technology in electronics and communications from IIT in Madras, India. He will be based in Marketo’s San Mateo, California headquarters.

Manoj Goyal Now Steering Marketo’s Core Technology Team

In his new role, Manoj Goyal will continue to oversee Marketo’s engineering team, furthering key initiatives to ensure the continued expansion of the Marketo Engagement Platform® and new areas of customer-centric innovation. This includes Marketo’s aggressive artificial intelligence-based product initiatives.

Goyal has driven the delivery of key innovations for Marketo during his tenure, including Marketo’s next-generation platform on Google Cloud, and user interface redesign, along with a range of new products that have significantly expanded the breadth of Marketo’s capability.
