The NectarNet browser plug-in rewards browsing with PolySwarm’s Nectar (NCT) Token
PolySwarm, a cybersecurity provider using blockchain technology to crowdsource threat intelligence for enterprise customers such as Microsoft, Verizon, and eBay, announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind malware intelligence-collection browser plug-in. The plug-in rewards individuals for the data they provide by simply browsing the Internet. The new offering invites individuals to install the “NectarNet” browser plug-in to begin earning PolySwarm’s Nectar (NCT) token. NectarNet securely shares data with PolySwarm, creating a collective defense across the globe to combat malware.

The marketplace is powered by PolySwarm’s token, Nectar (NCT), which operates on the Ethereum blockchain. The NCT token is available in the U.S. and listed on Coinbase. The browser plug-in deposits NCT tokens into the user’s NectarNet wallet as they browse the Internet, passively sending URL and domain data into the PolySwarm threat marketplace to be scanned by engines from leading cybersecurity providers like CrowdStrike and SentinelOne. The amount of NCT rewards are based on the daily $NCT pool inside the marketplace and the relevance of the data that is provided by the user.
