Dynam.AI, an artificial intelligence (AI) software development firm best known for full stack AI innovation, announced that Daniel Schumann has joined the company’s Advisory Board. Mr. Schumann is the Vice President of the Electromechanical & Instrumentation (EMI) Center of Excellence, Global Operations at Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a $17 billion American multinational medical technology leader.

In his role with BD, Mr. Schumann focuses on defining and implementing best practices in EMI New Product Introduction, Manufacturing Process Technology, Sustaining Engineering and Global Footprint/Network Optimization. The team he leads works across three business units at seven global locations in the U.S., Mexico, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Prior to his position with BD, Mr. Schumann led corporate initiatives in CareFusion’s Respiratory Solutions and Global Procurement groups, and held other leadership roles in the medical device contract engineering and manufacturing industry, and at a medical device startup he co-founded. Previously, he worked in the automotive industry, leading Marketing for the S-Type sedan at Jaguar Cars North America and working in R&D and Manufacturing at the Ford Motor Company. Mr. Schumann holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University, an MBA in Marketing from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and a Masters in Engineering, also from Northwestern.
