Shutterstock has announced a new CEO. The leading online stock photography provider announced promoting their President and Chief Operations Officer Stan Pavlovsky to the CEO role. Shutterstock‘s founder Jon Oringer is exiting from his CEO position to a pivotal mentoring role to Stan. Stan Pavlovsky, Shutterstock’s current President and Chief Operating Officer, will assume the CEO’s role as of 1 April and will also join the Board at that time. Jon Oringer will be the Chairman of the Board.
Founded in 2003, Shutterstock has grown to become one of the most digitally-acclaimed sources of online photos, videos, and music files, in addition to also providing platforms to artists to showcase their user-generated content. In 16 years as the CEO of Shutterstock, Jon Oringer has led the company to a revenue of over $1 billion dollars, connecting more than 1 million creators around the world with online Marketing teams.

Stan joined Shutterstock in April 2019 from Meredith. At Meredith, he was the President and EVP, leading world-class brands such as People, Allrecipes, Better Homes and Garden, Eating Well, Martha Stewart Living, Parents, and Shape to reach over 140M million unique visitors every month.
Stan Pavlovsky started his career as a Financial Analyst with Microsoft. At Microsoft, Stan would provide financial analysis for revenue, marketing, and product feature planning helping business teams to identify revenue opportunities and to provide business strategies to and for senior management including the CFO.
