With almost 15 years building, innovating, and driving technology forward, Premesh Purayil runs tech at Ranker, the leading online destination for opinion-based, crowdsourced rankings of everything. Premesh and his team have grown Ranker from 40 thousand to more than 40 million monthly unique visitors in six years. Over the past two years, Premesh built Ranker’s custom ad stack, focused on yield optimization and header bidder integration. Working directly with the top ad networks, he shaped their header bidder solutions to better serve the wide range of publisher abilities. Premesh is also an active influencer and contributor to the ad-ops community, helping other publishers regain control over their inventory and better expose it through their various marketplaces. Before Ranker, Premesh was a founding engineer at Cerebra, a metadata based reasoning engine which was acquired by webMethods. In his off time, Premesh and his family of four (plus a really lazy dog) enjoy seeing the world, and watching movies, especially bad ones.
